AI "Master" prompts
I'm currently playing around with a merged master prompt created by having opus 4.6 merge some agency agents prompts with my own master prompts. This has been tremendously useful for having higher quality code.
I've been playing around with the idea of AI master prompts lately. I've seen research done on their usefulness with the result of them being only a small percentage more useful to give your ai model a "personality" and rules but I have only found it useful. I haven't done full on side by side comparisons but my own projects have gotten tremendously more productive by introducing these master prompts. The model keeps track of the projects and overall outputs better quality code in a way that feels less model dependent. I used to only be able to get good results by burning through claude opus usage but with these prompts (and of course the models getting better), I've been getting similar performance across opus and openai's models as well as getting very high quality code.
What's next?
I'm currently playing around with a merged master prompt created by having opus 4.6 merge some agency agents prompts with my own master prompts. This has been tremendously useful for having higher quality code. I would like to balance using the knowledge I have gained through teaching myself how to code with having ai write code that I am less in touch with in terms of code quality so that I can act as a competent project manager rather than a developer. That doesn't seem like the path for me anymore and this feels like an evolution of that if done well
